Today I wanna use this Autel MaxiCheck Pro Diagnostic Tool to operate brake bleed ABS pump cycle for a 2008 Honda Civic. I haven’t done the ABS pump in last several brake fluid flushes I performed.
All I want to do it is trying to get the ABS pump to work, and bleed the brakes. Then I am going to operate the ABS pump, hopefully and then I’ll bleed the brakes again. That way we can get fresh fluid all throughout the system including in and around the valve bodies and the solenoids.
This is my Honda Civic, match the connector to OBD2 port of car, now Autel MaxiCheck Pro is powered on. Turn the key on, then get to start:
ABS >> Asian >> Honda >> USA >> ABS
Read the attention, press “OK”>> Active test >> Left front solenoid
This is a left front ABS solenoid valve test. The function test forcibly drives the left front ABS solenoid valve and can confirm kickback. Don’t run the test when there are DTCs in the ABS unit. My car do not have any DTCs data trouble codes.
OK >> OK
Stop the vehicle, press the brake pedal, shift to neutral.
It is pumping now. You can feel the pressure rise on your foot and then release. The test will take up to 5 seconds…
Test finished, press “OK”, and let off the brake .
Repeat same operation for the other 3 solenoids…
All done, that definitely cycled the ABS pump. I am tickled to death with it so far.
I have experienced the best brakes on this car for using Autel MaxiCheck Pro to operate ABS pump and solenoids after bleeding the brakes. Less than 200 dollars if you are able to actually operate some functions on the car, this does make it worth for 200 bucks.
