Autel MaxiBAS BT506 is an app-based battery analysis tool developed by Autel. Following it’s a detailed function review from unboxing to testing.
- Unboxing
This is the BT506 main unit, coming with positive and negative alligator clamps. The clamps are polarity protected even if you reverse the clamps or put the negative on the positive terminal, it’s okay.
Autel BT506 testers will flash red to alert you that you have made the error. The tester is Bluetooth enable and that’s how it shares the test information with the app. The led on the tester is color coded to alert its connection and testing status. It’s a nice simple tool, but it’s not your average battery tester.
Considering assistance system to start/stop ignitions is more required from the battery than ever before. Autel BT506 Tester measures not only state of the charge, but also the battery state of health, its capacity, its ability to maintain and store the energy. So when needed, the vehicle systems can draw from it.
The BAS app suppots to run on both Apple and Android devices.
