I got four key fobs here for a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu, and I wanna use Autel MaxiPRO MP808 Scan Tool to reprogram the car to work with them. The 2 green ones have the original factory circuit boards in, while the black ones were bought from others.
After making sure all the batteries in these remote keys are fully charged, let’s go to the car for programming.
Plug the connector of Autel MP808 into the OBD2 port firstly, switch the ignition on:
Service >> IMMO keys >> GM >> Auto selection >> Read >> Yes
Hot functions >> Keyless entry
Each time a fob is programmed, you need to program all key fobs.
To program, press and hold Lock and Unlock buttons when the tool indicates.
You will hear a single chirp from Instrument Panel Cluster(IPC) when the key fob is programmed successfully. Proceed to the next fob and repeat after hearing the chirp.
It takes 5 seconds to program each key fob.
Turn ignition to ON with engine off. Press “OK”.
Simultaneously press Lock and Unlock on the key fob and keep them pressed now.
Key fob programming active. Continue with the remaining fobs.
So let’s go on the next key fob…
Okay, all four fobs are programmed, I hear it beat twice which I think it’s because it only allowed having four fobs programmed per vehicle.
Press “OK” when completed.
Okay, so let’s test all the fobs. LOCK and Unlock buttons all worked.
Done!
